I just bought this unit at a farm auction. How do I get a manual? Shows good voltage on the gage, no output (have only half messed with it so far, only the 120/230 side, meter to outlets is next).

  4. Question

    Rodney Hanson

I have a 25/15PT2. It used to produce enough power to run a small farm. It now drops the field just trying to start a home ac system even with all other significant energy users shut down. Just wondering if you could point me in the right direction as to which part may be defective. Possibly a rectifier or diode? It seems to have just gotten week.
    Thanks!

      Rodney,
Please use our Dealer Locator to find your closest Winco Dealer. They would be best to determine if your generator is functioning properly.

Mark, Total Harmonic Distortion was not recorded when your model was built. Most appliances should work with your model, although we have seen some furnaces are more sensitive to harmonic distortion. You may want to consider having an electrician install a voltage surge suppression device to protect against voltage surges when using the generator. Parts are limited because of the age of the generator. Please email [email protected] if you need a quote on parts.

Joe, you would get the wire from a local electrician. We sell the connectors that connect to the wire. Please call our Parts Department @ 507-357-8332 if you wish to order them.

  7. Question

    Nolan Swenson

New generators use 4-wire receptacles, cords, and plugs. How do I use the 3 prong receptacle on a 25/15PT2 to provide backup power to my house? Can I replace it with a 4-prong receptacle?
