Get to Know WINCO – Sierra

Name: Sierra Lanars
Department: Sales

Hobbies: 4-Wheeling, Snowmobiling, Crafts, Motorcycling, Traveling

Q: How long have you worked at WINCO?
A: It’ll be a year in April

Q: Tell me about your family.
A: I have been with my husband, Chris for 6 years, married 3. We have two daughters, Mylie, 5, and Kayli, 3.

Q: Sounds like you do a lot of outdoor activities, tell me about them.
A: During the warm seasons, we hit the trails on the 4-wheeler and go on motorcycle rides. In the winter, we like to get out on the snowmobiles. We do yearly radar runs along with Fun Run every February which is a great chance to get out and ride!

We are members of the Nicollet County Trail Association Snowmobile Club; we help with maintaining the trails.

Q: You went to Sturgis back in August, how was it?
A: This was our second year riding out there. Even though we are in neighboring states, it is a very long, 12 hour ride. It was fun, we went with some close friends. Next year we will be trailering the bikes there and enjoy taking the motorcycle around the town.

Q: What is your favorite destination to travel to?
A: We love going to Duluth, MN. We enjoy watching the ships come in at Canal Park. We also have a cabin in Danbury, WI. There we snowmobile or go 4-wheeling, depending on the temperature.

Thank you, Sierra for taking time to talk to me!

If you are able to come to visit, make sure to say ‘Hi’ to Sierra!

Stay tuned, next month we will meet up with another great employee!

See you soon!

Facilities at our Facility

Do you ever have that one room that you just don’t want your guests to see? Maybe you keep a door shut on the room that seems to collect everything or the scary basement. Well, for us, it was our factory restrooms.

Yes, this is a blog about our restrooms.

I am pretty sure, besides maybe a fresh coat of paint a time or two, the factory bathrooms have looked the same since WINCO bought the building in 1977. But how would I know? I was born in 2005 and as a dog, I go outside.

So, why are we fixing them up now? Well, as you could imagine, they were pretty dated.

We added a new flooring, stalls, diamond plate wainscoting, and cool circular hand washing stations.

We are excited for the improvements we have planned for 2022! We’ll keep you updated as we finish them.
