Question
Charles Carlson –
I currently have a Big Dog 18000 with a 60 amp receptacle. Is there a possibility of getting a 60 amp receptacle on a Big Dog 22000 unit?

To get the full amperage power from this WL22, we had engineered this model with the Anderson connector. We do have a different model of the WL22 that has two 50A straight blade receptacles, but you would have to split the load between the two receptacles. https://www.wincogen.com/product/wl22000ve-a/. We do not have a version with the 60A receptacles. If you have any more questions, you can call our Sales team at 507-357-6821.

Question
Ryan Atkinson –
I plan on using this generator as a home back-up as well. Do you offer a generator power cord that can connect to the Anderson port on the generator? If so, what type of connection is on the other end of the power cord? Also, what type/size of manual transfer switch would be best with this generator?

Admin Josie Krugerud –
Hello Ryan,
We do not offer power cords for this unit. We do supply the Anderson plug kit that plugs into the Anderson receptacle.
We recommend using a 100 amp transfer switch – https://www.wincogen.com/product/manual-transfer-switch-100-amp-1-ph/

Question
Derrick –
I have recently purchased the 22,000 model with Anderson connection. Is there a way to connect an extended use fuel drum to the fuel system of the generator? Thanks for your help.

Derrick, yes you can add an additional fuel tank. Bear in mind the distance you are trying to pull fuel from. For distances greater than 3 feet and below the existing fuel tank level, you will need to install an electric fuel pump.
