What if my transfer switch goes back to utility, but my standby generator keeps running?

Step 1. Check for a start signal from the transfer switch

Step 2. Check if generator is in a cool down delay.

Go to generator controller > Check to see if it is in a cool down delay. If so, wait for it to expire. Beware of stacked time delaysGenerator in a time delay: Should be running. Go to Step 3Generator not in time delay but running: Troubleshoot generator or ATS board for improper shutdown

Step 3. Adjust Time Delays to Prevent Nuisance Calls
